Did anybody notice, in the 'special thanks to' section, Emi Hatano is listed, and she works for Sony Music Entertainment International Affairs. May be nothing, but I have never seen her listed before.

Don't worry, as long as we all know it's better than all of the other dross in the Japan music charts right now.

Actually, now would be a good time to mention that I have been getting to know a few Japanese people on other 'non Tommy based' forums and stuff, and 90% of them have never even heard of Tommy heavenly6, and 9% have heard of The Brilliant Green and Tomoko, but had no idea she was still working. I find this astounding really. are Sony and DefSTAR really doing such a bad job of promoting her these days?

That is very unsettling to hear. But yeah, I can't expect everyone to like tommy. Most people st my work don't get it/understand when I try to explain buri guri/february6/heavenly6 or pretty much any japanese or asian artist. Usually they respond with "how can you like it if you don't know what they are saying?". I really hate that. If she's 15th now is it doubtful that she'll climb back up? Maybe Unlimited Sky will do better by attracting Gundam 00 fans.

ohh! I remember thinking he was hot!

oh, and it is sad she's not doing as well. this means her weekly ranking will be more like 9 or 10 rather then the 7 she peaked at. Also, Sony just sucks at promoting basically what they do is promote them a bunch in the beginning and then once they're known they stop promotion. That's what happened with Nana Kitade, she was charting at like 10s, 15s, and then she got a good album charting, so they basically stop her promotion all together, and now her most recent charting have been 67, 189, and 115. and they're good songs too. In other words Sony sucks. Although Tommy can't switch labels, it paints a bad reputation of her, less companies would take her because they'd say "will she switch on us too?" so there's really not much we can do except write letters to Sony asking to promote her more or something *shrug*.

To be honest, I had a few expectation on Papermoon could get to high chart, I do like her music much, but the fact is, nowadays, rock music is getting shrink in Japan.

Thats sad to know. Some of the best rock acts come from japan.

We can do something for Tommy and co. , but CD label just care about profit, not music itself.
To me, I don't care about Oricon, every now and then, not even 8 years ago, there 3rd and 4th single got hit, I thought it's not a good or bad thing, getting famous might even ruins a artist or band. It's all about what I think, they bought to me a world that I've never knew before.
