It was the theme to Soul Eater. That may be why.

Re: Randomnes...
Yeah, that's probably what is was.
It's still cool to hear a Tommy song on American TV though.

OMG, hearing Tommy on American TV would be like....I'll just go crazy if I heard one of her songs! But I don't have any channels that show anime, sigh....
Re: Randomnes...
I was watching a random channel on keyhole TV once and saw the PV for pray. That was pretty great.
Re: Randomnes...
A Japanese transfer student goes to my school this year.
I shall ask her about Tommy. :3

Re: Randomnes...
I live in the US, and I first learned about Tommy by watching the video for Hey My Friend on TV.
There use to be a cable network called AZN that played Japanese, Chinese and Korean programing. They had a weekly program called something like Pop Music Japan that played music from Sony artists. They also showed Kamikaze Girls several times. So Tommy got played on American TV. The network went bankrupt and so its not on anymore, but if your willing to shell out some bucks you can purchase NHK TV from many cable companies.
Also I don't know about SD but I go to San Fransisco a lot, and I know channel 26 sometimes shows Japanese shows.

Re: Randomnes...
I had a friend that lived in Japan for several years. When he moved back I asked what the Tommy scene was like there and he said "It's much cooler to admit you liked Brilliant Green than to admit you liked anything else she did" I'm still not sure what that means haha.ErickAutumn wrote:A Japanese transfer student goes to my school this year.

Haha, interesting. I admit Tommy has some dodgy tastes in music, but she also like so cool stuff too, which contributes to her individualistic sound I think.
Be careful, some of the younger Japanese people I have spoke to have never even heard of Tommy or TBG.

I would think, a least in the last few years, heavenly6 would be more "cool" to listen to.

Yeah, I agree. heavenly6's first album was more of like "slumber party/girl power" music, but her newer music is more "cooler" in a sense. But I enjoy all of her albums the same.

I guess BuriGuri was more "Indie" or whatever to listen to. It was the cool artsy thing to say.

Re: Randomnes...
I'm pretty sure I've never met anyone else who knows Tommy or the brilliant green. I guess the music is different, but oh well. Their loss!!!
