Ok, this is easy. Have you heard a song that you think, "hmmm, this sounds a little like The Brilliant Green"? Well if you have, psot it here, and let us see if we agree with you.
Suggest just one song at a time. I'll Start.
Crash - The Primitives
Ok, I know her voice is not really like Tommys, and the music is not really up to Buriguri standards, but it still just reminds me of early TBG. Close your eyes and imagine Tommy singing instead.

when i heard the Across the universe version of I Want you (she's so heavy) by the Beatles, it reminded me of Forever to me for some reason.
They also remind me of this group The Delgados. I'd love to hear Tommy sing out "The Light before we land".

WHOA! I love The Delgados, 'The Great Eastern' is like one of my favourite albums of all time, and 'Everything Goes Around The Water' is one of my fave songs also.

haha, i thought you might like them. I love HATE. but my faovrite songs by them are The light before we land, and I fought the angels.
Re: Suggest a song that sounds like Buriguri.
This is a strange one, because I don't necassarily think it sounds that much like TBG, but then again I could so imagine Tommy singing this. I think Tommy and Susanna Hoffs (The Bangles) have a very similar voice. I used to be a massive fan of The Bangles in the mid to late 80's, and have suddenly re-discovered them recently, much to my wifes embarresment. Click the link below to watch, excuse the Christmassy intro -

The music of "ai no ai no hoshi" looks very similar with the one of "Talkin' 'bout a revolution" by Tracy Chapman (released in 1988), and most of all the beginning plus the acoustic guitar !

Yes I agree, although the Tracy version is a little slower, with a little less up and down stroke than Ryo's strumming. I wonder if this is just one of those musical coincedence's or not?

The intro to "Tsumetai Hana" always reminds me of Oasis musically. Obviously when Tommy starts singing it's a different story. I guess tbg's influence by Britpop comes into play here.
Also YUI's "Feel My Soul" reminds me of "Rainy Days Never Stays"; both to me are very uplifting songs, and great pop moments.

I think TBG were very influenced by the whole Oasis/Beatles Britpop invasion on the 90's, and as you say Tsumetai Hana bears this fruit, especially if you listen to the intro of Oasis's 'Slide Away'.
Also, yes, this Yui song does remind me of Rainy Days a little, and also a little of 'Stand By Me' maybe.
