Oh, Jazzbeans & Starryeyed, just checking, but did you receive the PM I sent you?

I've sent you a PM Sneakglove. Smile

I thought I would mention this in case people weren't aware of it. There is up to a 70% Summer Sale on at CDJapan. Have a look and see if there is any for you:

Details:

Offer period: June 23, 2009 12:00 - July 30, 2009 23:59 (Japan Standard Time)

If you register your email you should be able to get a coupon code discount too. I would also recommend you go with SAL for your shipping to save more money. Oh, and I've already checked Tomoko Kawase's section, and there is nothing for sale as far as I can tell; but.....do check other artists as there are DVDs, CDs, Bluray etc on offer. Smile

I think I might just check back to see if there are any Puffy CDs/DVDs on offer.

Regards,
-Starryeyed- Smile

Today, I feel very lonely. (Sadness..).

But I am so grateful to everyone in my life who has been encouraging
towards me, particularly recently. It's made me feel a lot better about
various things and I so now I feel good overall. =)

I haven't slept yet, been awake since roughly 2pm yesterday.
So, I'm slightly tired. I think I'm ill because I'm in pain today, not eating
well recently too (apetite has gone). But should be fine soon I hope!

It can happen JB, loneliness, sadness, emotions. Strange, when I was ordering my Puffy album today I was overwhelmed with a feeling of sadness, such a strange feeling to have, especially at that moment. I can't really explain it. Emotions, I suppose in a way - human behaviour/function, what actually makes us human. sometimes though, I actually wish we didn't have them. Such a difficult feeling to control is emotion, moreso I believe as you grow older.

When you feel sad though, do remind yourself of your friends and family, the people who care about you. The happiness you bring to people and they to you. I do this to remind myself, and the things that make a person happy. Even the simple things, like pouring the 'perfect' cuppa tea. Smile

And if you really need to sleep I will begin to talk about Star Wars, I'm sure you will be asleep in no time Smile

Hope you are well soon.

Post by jazzbeans on Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:14 am

Yeah, I can tell when I am being emotional, usually. So that's good, to have a
sense of self-awareness in that respect. Doesn't stop it from happening though.
I feel lonely because I uploaded many school photos (from back in the day) of my
friends, yesterday. I miss that environment. Exposed to people all the time.

In college, it was different because you have to make an effort to become friends
with people and I was more occupied with studying - even though I met some
great people. So, I never got to know anyone well. Made me think that I don't have
the same kinds of relationships I used to have. I'm not friends with anyone in the
same way in which I was back in school. Although I am surrounded by many people
who would mutually call me their friend, I don't feel as if I truly have any friends!
They don't know me, I don't know them. What music, colours, films, etc they like...
Nothing about them, despite having a bond. It's not important, but I miss being close
enough to people to be able to tell confide in them. I don't have that anymore.

Tomorrow, I am seeing my boyfriend. So, that'll be good but I'm not looking
forward to it at the moment, as I fear I may be unwell tomorrow too. In which case,
I won't be very good company. Not that he minds, but I do!!

Ha ha, I'm still awake (obviously). Why am I not tired? Maybe I slept without realising?
I hope I don't sleep through all of tomorrow. That'd be absolutely awful...

I just can't sleep at the moment, after an hour I decided to come online,
found out Michael Jackson is dead. Sad times! His old music was great. Love it still.

I'll watch TV shows and hopefully drift off. Hmm, I'll watch my Tex Avery collection. ^^

Yep, I've always thought this way too. It's like that I feel in duty with people that care about me, and show them that they don't have to care anymore. But well, as you both say, emotions are such a difficult thing to control, but I think that emotions are what makes us human, so if we didn't have them we could not be happy or sad either. Emotions are necessary, even in the worst times. After the rain there's the rainbow ^^

Yep, I'm feeling a bit like this actually. I still have some friends to rely on, but I don't see them that often... And still, I don't have the same relationship with them as I used to have. Things changed a lot in these last two years, but I think it'll help me to become a more confident person, and to search for new things to do. The atmosphere here in this town is suffocating. I'm willing a lot to go to Barcelona, meet new people, and well.... maybe understand things a little bit better. That, and love. I think that with these two things I can say I'll be in peace with the world ^^

Right now I'm feeling a bit melancholic, and also desperated. Things about love, I suppose. It'll be a long summer until I get to go to Madrid. Really, I miss him a lot...

I suppose a contradiction here, but we need emotions. I just don't like them sometimes as it can cloud our judgement. Like when you go with your heart over your mind. Emotions, difficult to control and sometimes even harder to understand why they influence us so much. Yes, social interaction is important; everybody needs somebody, and I believe everyone can become lonely even the most charismatic person. Why? Well... I suppose we are all human, who need human contact. I believe women are more emotional than men though. Men sometimes hide there feelings or emotions, but I believe men and women feel hurt equally. I agree, self-awareness is what makes us human I believe.

Of course you miss your friends. They were a part of your life, and in a way people who you grew up with.

Made me think that I don't have the same kinds of relationships I used to have. I'm not friends with anyone in the same way in which I was back in school. Although I am surrounded by many people who would mutually call me their friend, I don't feel as if I truly have any friends!

Smile Yes soooooo very true!

I remember, I spoke to a person about friendship and I asked them, 'Do you have many friends?' and they answered.. 'Oh yes, 40-50 friends at least.' Then I asked another question, 'Do you have a true friend?' 'somebody who would look out for you, who cares about you.' The person looked to the sky and back down, and they answered... 'I..erm..I'. You see, as a person grows older you find out who your true friends are, the people who respect you; the people who you can say, you are proud to be there friend.

I agree, at college and university you make more of an effort to become friends, usually because you share a common interest, your subjects/course, but also maturity. I noticed when I attended college and University you start to develop your personality more, and in turn; the people around you do the same. I also think with school friends it wasn't as much about the studying as having fun with your friends. At college and University you still have fun, but you start to develop your own ideas, beliefs etc..

They don't know me, I don't know them. What music, colours, films, etc they like...
Nothing about them, despite having a bond. It's not important, but I miss being close
enough to people to be able to tell confide in them. I don't have that anymore.

You can still have all that Jazzbeans, try ok? Tomorrow when you see one of your friends try and talk to them, strike up a conversation about music or movies, or colours. You may feel it is not important, but....I believe it is to you. You can have the closeness, just try ok? Listen to them and they will show an interest in you to become closer if you so wish.

I saw what you said previously about bringing a friend along because you feel shy - DVD Marathon day.

Shyness could be described as a lack of confidence, but I like to believe shyness is a quality which is unique to a given person. There is nothing wrong with being shy, as you are cautious as to who you feel comfortable with. Confidence will help you talk to your friends. The way you were thinking about the DVD Marathon day was good, the same could be applied here. Your boyfriend or your closest girlfriend would enhance your confidence, it is like being with a positive person, they encourage you. Like.. surround you with kindness and affection; in a way love.

Tomorrow, I am seeing my boyfriend. So, that'll be good but I'm not looking
forward to it at the moment, as I fear I may be unwell tomorrow too. In which case,
I won't be very good company. Not that he minds, but I do!!

Well then get ready for your boyfriend's rendition of 'My Girl is Blue Part 2' Smile

Get some rest now and stop being a chatterbox! Smile

Michael Jackson is dead.
Really? I didn't know. checking... from a heart attack. Many people have many different opinions about MJ, but I will say this...he contributed alot to music and entertainment. He was an entertainer, much in the same way as Queen were, and at there peak (the 80s) they were both electric to watch in concert.

Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett died yesterday too from cancer. Charlie's Angels was alittle before my time, but I did see the repeats when they were shown at a later date.

I do not understand cancer, it is so pre-dominate nowadays... so strange.

@Tomoko-Chan -

Yep, I'm feeling a bit like this actually. I still have some friends to rely on, but I don't see them that often... And still, I don't have the same relationship with them as I used to have. Be around the people who are positive, who encourage you, much in the same way as JB. I think friends can let you down too, hmmm.. trust is important. Something even I have problems with. I find it difficult to trust people, moreso as you get older. There comes a time when you start to see things for what they really are, and sometimes what you see is not always what you wish it to be. Love is a strange subject, yet fascinating to talk about. Be careful of love though, it doesn't mentally change a person; but it can bring about out of character situations. Remember, Love can hurt too, and if or when it happens you will know. Then again, love can make a person grow, in a way like a flower blossoms. Smile and.. To be in love with another who returns your love, well...all your pain seems to go away as you believe you are with your 'chosen one', destiny.

Wow, so many feelings around, I feel for you all, and understand your problems. It makes me glad that I do not have to re-live the whole school/college era of my life. I never fitted in to any crowd, and always preffered my own company, but felt I had to make an effort to talk to people, otherwise I would have just remained a sad and lonely outcast all my life. On reflection, at those times I felt I tried too hard, and if I had my chance to do my teen years again now I would do it so differently knowing what I do aged 34.

I became a different person when I started work and began going out to the pub/clubs and meeting people who are into the same things as me. I wasn't into the mainstream dance music clubbing scene of the 90's, and our town only had 1 club playing the Indie rock/Britpop style music that I liked. So I went there on my own, and after 2 or 3 weeks I knew nearly everybody in that club, despite my self belief that I am shy and have nothing interesting to say. People convinced me otherwise, even though, to me it was really hard work to come out of my shell.

In college you are thrust into an environment where you have to socialise with people who are different from you, in life away from this you will find your own group of friends. I cannot imagine wanting to be friends with any of my old school or college friends now, and indeed, I do not know any. All my friends that remain now (and their is not many) all come from my times away from work/studying, and just happened naturally.

It may sound cliched, but life gets better when you get older, well it did for me anyway. Believe in yourself, and be confident.

I was thinking as we do. Hmmm...come to think of it, maybe I think too much, then again my hebrew sign does say 'Steve the thinker' Smile Anyway, what was I going to say...Hmmm...yes..what is happening to England at the moment. Does anybody remember the ladybirds, the little red and black insects which crawled on your arm or hand. I mean..like where have they gone? They use to be here, but now? maybe they have packed there bags and gone on holiday, could be the weather... but hmmmm..Well..as far as I am aware Jazzbeans hasn't been talking about politics recently so they cannot have gone because of that reason Smile They are funny little insects.. I must admit I found them rather cute when they were crawling on your arm. I remember the first time I saw a ladybird I spoke to my sister about it. I said 'I've got an insect on my arm, isn't it cute!'. My sister said 'Ah! a Ladybird; Yes they are cute, but don't look at it for too long, ok?' I thought, eh! what is she talking about. So I continued to look at the ladybird and said to myself 'Ladybird...hmmm...Owww aren't you a cute little Ladybird' Smile Then all of a sudden it began to open its' wings and started to fly into the air. I was like, Ah! what's happening, get away Smile I turned to my sister and she said 'Steve you look shocked, did the Ladybird fly away?' I said 'yes, did you know they do that?' She said 'Yeah, and laughed.' I do wonder where they have gone though. I think I actually miss them.

And also..like what's happening to all the Bumble Bees, Honey Bees and Drones. I mean I don't like Bees, my sister does, well the bumble and honey bees; but I don't. I mean I can tolerate them, but sometimes they give me the creeps! I mean those bumble bees are big and hairy!

Hmmm...Come to think of it...When you go out have you found alot of bees on the floor? I mean at the moment they appear to be falling out of the sky onto the floor and not recovering. I found out, they are not dead; its' because they are running out of energy from pollinating all the flowers. We do need them for pollination, as they do help our crops and flowers to grow.

Well... there is something you can do if you do find a bee on the floor. You can get some sugar and place it next to them, of course this doesn't mean pour the whole sugarbag over them, I don't think that would help. Smile Anywayyyyyyyyy, if you leave the bee alone, it will actually eat the sugar and be on it's way Smile Hmmm..well I do prefer bees to wasps, but well..hmmm I don't know. Am I talking too much. Oh, I feel like C3PO, somebody switch me off Smile

Nope, that didn't work Smile Lets' continue..

So..now hmmm....if I was on a date with Tommy Hmmm...I think I would probably take her to see the London Eye at night. More romantic at night. Hmmm.. we would probably look to the stars and well...see the TFA aeroplane fly by. I would say to Tommy, 'Tommy, the plane has left without you.' and Tommy would reply 'Steve, you really are a chatterbox, please do tell me where the switch off button is.' Smile I would laugh and say...well actually I think I would just have a smile on my face. Smile

Hmmm.. or maybe the planetarium, tis quite nice too.

And what about...Oh I've forgotten! Hmmmm....maybe I should add - Steve the forgetful thinker Smile

Sometimes I think I could type all day when I'm off work. Wait a minute its 2.05AM - Sunday morning Smile Hmmm..actually I wonder how many characters I can type here before it has to move to the next page Smile Did I just say that? Oh dear, I think it must be late. It feels hot tonight, can't really sleep. Hmmm...I think my avatar's alot better than my previous one, or was it two. Tommy looks really magical, like a bright glowing star. Hmmm..maybe it not hot tonight, maybe I'm feeling hot haha. Oh, it must be time to sleep now I've started talking to my avatar Smile She does look rather cute though, my avatar. I think if I look at Tommy enough I might just be able to fall asleep. Hmmmm...maybe if I count all the stars on Tommy's dress...1...2..Oh, too late I'm gone zzzzzzzzzzzz Smile

Oh, ignore me today I'm feeling alittle, you know; hyper Smile Did somebody put something in my tea.. Yikes! a bee! Only joking Smile

Starryed, did you drink too much orangeade last night or something? You should have been listening to 'Alone Alone' while you wrote that message, staying up all night and stuff.

No Bees, wasps. or ladybirds anywhere to be seen in our garden. Because of the lack of ladybirds we do have loads of pesky greenfly on or roses.

I would take Tommy up Primrose Hill to see the London Eye at night, plus the whole of London. We could have a picnic and she could tell me about how this strange hyperactive man with a strange northern accent talked her ear off the other day. "What is this strange accent? I could not understand one single word." she would ask me. "Don't worry, he's from Yorkshire" I would say in perfect Japanese just to impress her. Wink

If Tommy were to Spain, I'd take her to Barcelona ^^ We could go to Tibidabo (that's a little cute amusement park in the top of Barcelona, from where you can see the full city) to have a fun time, and we would be able to talk about eeverything we liked to, even about next projects Laughing Then at night I would take her to a karaoke and we both would sing "Since yesterday"; after that she would propose me to do a duet for her next album (Am I being a bit too arrogant? XDD) and invite me to spend some time in her house in Japan ^o^

Starryeyed, it seems you have a lot to say about everything ^^ Have you ever thought about starting a blog? I would read it for sure, you talk about many different things and they all are interesting ^^

Smile Well Tomoko erm yes it might be a strange date and I wouldn't want to scare Tommy from jumping out of the bushes, Sneakglove though yes! Smile hmmm... I did think about a Lobster Costume from the Hawaii Photobook, but.. well.. she might eat me then! Smile

it's a nice thought Tomoko. Now where are the tickets so I can book Smile I remember when I was searching for videos for Tommy on you tube and I came across you singing 'Lonely in Gorgeous' - One of my favourite TF6 songs; I thought you sang it very well, I had a smile on my face the whole time. I didn't add any comments, I did see what some people said. TC, remember there are always people like me and others who enjoy your singing. Be happy in what you do, always Smile

Haha, Oh.. a blog..hmmm I did think about doing one, but well...I don't know. Not really sure where to start Smile You are sweet Tomoko, thank you for your words Smile

Now I'm kinda scared. I just meant you can see the whole of London PLUS the London Eye from Primrose Hill, and i'll be keeping away from any bushes thankyou!

I may take her the the Jorvik viking centre in York instead now, because they re-create the real smell of poo as you float around the canal. I think Tommy would appreciate that.

I've read everything, but don't want to post a super long reply as I feel that would be too much. Anyways,

I never go outside in Spring/Summer unless I have to I swear!!
I can't think of one thing I like about spring/summer time. I sing along to Do As Infinity's "SUMMER DAYS" and feel as if I can relate somewhat, "[8] Summer days~ I can't stand the summer days!". My face is currently melting and is apparently like a radiator, my brother can feel the heat on my face hovering his hand about 4 inches away. ¬_¬

I don't mind insects, so long as they do not go on my food, do not touch me.. or come into my personal space even. Ha ha!

'Tis my mother's birthday today. She's in Oxford at the moment, riding her pony. I've got a lot of chores to do before she gets back. =\ Left them a little late because I saw Sean (boyfriend) this weekend and he just left. I have to say, it made me realise how lonely I truly felt, the walk home was the worst walk ever. The heat didn't help. That's it, I'm staying housebound for a few days, let this heatwave pass before I consider stepping outside. It's nice and cold in my house!

Received some help preparing a CV today, so it's half-done. It just... looks so blank though, which is to be expected I suppose but I don't think anyone would give a second look at it in this case!! I think the layout is really good, so hopefully that catches people's eyes.

Anyways~ Looking forward to the working world. Hope it's good!

As for meeting Tommy. To be honest, I don't feel like I know her, even though I get the impression that she's pretty groove. But, I would not go to a cafe with her or anything like that personally. I would ask to watch her in her music studio!! Or see her making music, the music I love so much, that is my priority. The brilliant green/Tommy doing what I love them for, their music. ^^

UPDATED: I thought I pulled an ad. (on Japan-Guide.com) looking for penpals yesterday. It seems I did not - so I'll do that today and shall reply to them all too - and I got a few extra replies today. One of the people sounded really interesting he does Rakugo (落語) and is a Rakugoka (落語家) - this is a comical storyteller as I understand it, telling long stories about stuff, like stand-up but.. different. I think they sit down and tell these stories. Plus, he says he is a reporter, has written three novels and writes articles in a magazine. Interesting! I used to want to be in that kind of business. So, I am looking forward to speaking with him.

Something that made me a bit happier recently is the fact that nearly every person who replied to my ad. commented on how they liked the sounds of my personality. How nice!! One guy said that he thought he could just not pass the chance to meet a character like me! Ha ha!! Sweet. I dunno what I said that could've caused this reaction, but I'm very pleased.

I'm feeling really anxious right now. Give me something to think about and amuse myself, guys ToT

Tomorrow I start my summer job. I'm not anxious because of that, but it contributes a little bit, I think so...

Play online games? Ha ha, I have StumbleUpon a Firefox add-on...
When I need to occupy myself I stumble online games.

Or you can just play normal games. If you don't enjoy games,
do something you enjoy. Immerse yourself in it too! =D

I hope you feel better soon!

Or, have a look at this picture;

Here's something for you TC and for everyone else. Quite a famous picture this. This is an optical illusion, the question is....Do you see a young woman or an old lady? or both Smile
