I rememeber that the cover of the Complete Single Collection also seemed very simple and boring, but the final effect was incredible beautiful and ellegant. I hope the same fot this album.

I really don't think they are the covers. Surely not?

The image posted as Limited Edition cover looks more like a radio promo cover.

That's why I think it's such a nice cover!
I don't know, the title "BLACKOUT" could give us some really obvious photos and interpretations, so I think this cover is nothing like we would expect...
I feel that as you get the physical edition we'll still get another surprise about this cover...

And Brilliant Green too of course. I watched my complete singles DVD yesterday because I was wanting some Buri Guri stimulation.

I hope the limited cover is some sort of slipcase, and the real cover is underneath. I'm not asking for a flashy cover, just something more than text.

Yeah I agree, anything like the previous albums then I will be happy.

I ordered mine today My dad said he'd pay for half because he likes the Brilliant Green too.

I wish my parents felt the same way. My mom has listened to buri guri and heavenly6 before, but she doesn't really like them.

I don't dislike only text covers, but that's too much text
Re: The Brilliant Green's new album - BLACKOUT - 15/09/10!!
Well my dad's not like a big fan, but I think he knows why I like them so much, and didn't mind paying.ghitgo wrote:Synchronicity wrote:I ordered mine today My dad said he'd pay for half because he likes the Brilliant Green too.

But when do parents really ever like their kids music?
Re: The Brilliant Green's new album - BLACKOUT - 15/09/10!!
I like some of my kid's music. The thing is every time that I tell them I like what they are listening to, it ruins it for them. They think it must be uncool if I like it.

My parents like OLIVIA, Yukie (former SNoW) and Angela Aki from the Japanese stuff...
But they also enjoy Avril Lavigne, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Michael Bublé... from the pop-ish stuff I like haha...
It's really nice, cuz they influence me so much musically... I'm a big fan of ABBA, Queen, Tears for Fears, The Beatles, Duran Duran and other bands because of them.

My mom definitely does not listen to the music I listen to. She sticks to Chinese music, preferably Cantonese, and she's pretty old-fashioned. She doesn't really listen to any other music outside of our culture. But once I'm older, I will finally assemble my music collection and buy as many Tommy and Buriguri cds as I can.

Not even those pop Chinese acts? Like Faye Wong? CoCo Lee has some serious good ballads too...

Re: The Brilliant Green's new album - BLACKOUT - 15/09/10!!
^ Lol, not even those two. However, one of my sisters is a big fan of both Faye Wong and CoCo Lee. As for my mom....she prefers some of the older singers, people I've never even heard of.
Re: The Brilliant Green's new album - BLACKOUT - 15/09/10!!
The covers are real:
http://www.wmg.jp/artist/tbg/discography.html
The limited edition probably has some kind of slipcase or sleeve that can be removed so it just says "BLACKOUT".
I can't believe the album is out in Japan in TWELVE DAYS! It's going to be crazy finally hearing it since I first heard the WINTER ALBUM in 2003. The titles sound kind of cheesy, but the band has always excelled with album tracks and I expect no less than the best, even though the loss of Ryo is a serious problem.

Can't wait for the album. What was funny was that today we had a blackout at our house. I'd much rather have the album instead.

I hope there is a slipcase to the limited edition. But oh well, the cover art doesn't affect the music.

It'll probably look amazing in real life.
Re: The Brilliant Green's new album - BLACKOUT - 15/09/10!!
Someone on 2ch who says they went to the listening event at the brilliant green cafe wrote their impressions of the album:
- Both fans of Tommy's solo project and those who were originally tbg fans should like it
- There are a lot of uptempo songs
- It sounds like a mix of the self-titled debut and THE WINTER ALBUM
But then someone else seemed disappointed in the radio broadcast of "I'm sick of this place" and said it sounded like a stock th6 b-side, so we'll see.

Yeah, a while ago I heard that "I'm sick of this place" was going to be the B-side to "I'M YOUR DEVIL!!" so maybe it originally was but then they made it a buriguri song instead.

That's odd because there is no such thing as a stock heavenly6 song. So if it is being compared to a heavenly6 b-side, then to me that isn't a bad thing.
And if BLACKOUT really does sound like a mix of albums 1 and 4, to me that is be really awesome. I would prefer some TERRA2001 influence though.
