MARQUEE interview Empty MARQUEE interview

Post by hidebow Sat Dec 20, 2008 3:36 pm

I introduce some stories from MARQUEE.

---Tommy is a pioneer---

Recently, the goth&rock and the horror are around in the fashion scene and the music scene.
I wanted to continue TH6 personally at that time. but I could not.

----The tecnomusic, the housemusic and the electromusic are around in these days.
----You keep doing them from 2001.

I thought at that time,
"The revival of the 80's sounds will come. It's bad(good)."
I felt shamefulness in that music. but it was OK. because it was a joke for me.
But the sounds were not joke. We used the analog machines.
And now, the 80's sounds are not sensational.
It is not shameful and not unusual.
TF6 is frighteningly usual now. It is not a good plan.
I think TH6 has the flexibility. It can correspond to a lot of demands.
I think TH6 is a good project.

I understand what she means. Tf6 was good at the time, original, but maybe not so much now. Th6 has more scope.

Thanks hidebow!!!

It became the tenth anniversary of TBG.
It was easy and was happy to do it by three people.
But I felt good in TH6. I wanted to continue it.

--- I thought that "this is the Tommy Heavenly6" when I saw the PV of Ash Like Snow.

It was easy if I was TH6.
However, there was no meaning unless TBG did it.
It was a contradiction.
But I wanted to participate in the work of Gundam.
I don't feel any pressures in TH6.
TH6 can do anything.
For example Hard rock, Metal, Grunge and Punk.
"Wait till I can dream" has the image of the Garage rock.
"Hey my friend" was a plan of the debut song.
I reserved it. because it has the image of TBG a little.
TBG has the image. TF6 has the image also.
I don't want to break them.

TH6's character looks like me.
I can share and sympathize with TH6's lyrics.
It is natural. I wrote them.(lol)

Thanks for posting, it's good to read these comments.

It's no surprise that february6 isn't a priority since there hasn't been a single release since Lonely In Gorgeous, but I thought the Tf6 material was always consistently strong, and that 'LIG', Takashi Fujii's 'Rain, Rain, Rain' and especially 'Is This Feeling Love?' were moving the persona into a slightly more mature sound whilst still keeping that authentic Tf6 'retro' attitude.

Conversely, whilst I like Th6, I've found this material to have less individuality and also more patchy in quality (the second album has a lot of filler, and maybe it's just my tastes, but Paper Moon is another single that sounds like it's been done before, and where it is outshone by the b-side). I think the last great th6 single was 'Pray'.

I like both personas, but if there are any more tf6 tracks still to be heard, I hope they are released, the recent cover of 'All Through The Night' was a becon of hope for me at least! Smile

Great to read these comments at last. Many thanks hidebow, great translation.

Interesting that she had to delay 'Hey My Friend' as she thought it sounded too 'TBG ish' for a debut of Th6. Also, she always seems to re-iterate that she feels she can do anything she wants with Th6, so I guess thats why she keeps this going more than anything else at the moment. I wish she/they felt this way about Buriguri, because for me, they can do Punk and heavy rock etc with the band also and I would be very happy.

Thanks all.

ABOUT PAPER MOON

At first, the staffs of the anime Soul Eater were looking for the OP theme song.
They needed the song with the speed.
I am fit for it. I read the gotten comics and wrote the lyrics at once.

---Tell the point.

The point....I also have a scythe.(lol)
It was a destiny.
I thought that the picture, the setting and the character were fashionable.
And thought that there were many common motif in TH6 and the anime Soul Eater.
PAPER MOON.... Actually, it doesn't exist.
One person thinks that it is so beautiful.
And another person thinks that it is just a picture.
If you believe it, you can see it.
If you don't believe it, you can't see it.

This is the eternal theme of mine.
The wish will come true if you believe it.

Merry Christmas. Very Happy

The theme of "The Wizard of Oz" is also the same as the one in the PAPER MOON.
From the beginning, the scarecrow had the brains, the tin man had the mind
And the lion had courage.
But they did not think that they had them.
They noticed, when they believed.
I had half forgotten the story. so I bought and saw the DVD. It was very interesting.
This time, I took the PV in outdoor, It rained soon when it ended.
Mr. Seki is a rain-bringer.(lol)
I could not keep my eyes open at long time. Because the sun were so bright that I was dazzled.
But the edit helped me..(lol)

---The scenery seems Switzerland.

No way !! I think that Switzerland is not such feeling.
But if the band members were not them, the place looks Yamanashi.(lol)
The casting was the first priority.

That red shoes was not just a red shoes.
I put the spangles to the surface.
It had to be the magic shoes for fans of "The Wizard of Oz".

Sorry for many omissions. but I wrote all her important comments. Smile

Dorothy's hairstyle changes in the story.
The color of socks and the length of sleeves on a shirt change, too.
I also did it. (lol)

--- The anime Soul Eater and The Wizard of Oz exist as another story.
--- You are splendidly unifying them.
I am good at the distortion.
--- You're too modest. You are good at interpretation. You have a scythe in the PV I'm Gonna SCREAM.
--- But you did not know the anime Soul Eater at that time, right?
No, I didn't know. I said to my staff,
"I want to behead the bad man with scythe."
They said, "It will not be able to be broadcast."
My idea was rejected. (laughter by all members)

I made the Ruby Shoes in a day. It was a good way for me.
This way can obediently express my feelings.
I have written many lyrics till now.
Even if I see the lyrics of early days, I like my favorite.

I made the song of Gundam too. Because I had worked with director Mizushima before.
I hope I will have a happy chance and a good place in the future.

END
